Very exciting week!

So on Monday Joss Whedon started filming the epic movie coming out next year, The Avengers. He posted a letter stating that he has started and its going to be a long but worthy road ahead but he kept joking around that he couldn't/wouldn't say much about because of the Marvel lawyers. Also with the announcement came an official set photo. Some more news of the movie is that Samuel Jackson had "lost" his script and is now leaked on the web. Who knows if this is real or not. But someone has it for sale on the web, you can see some photos of it here.
Captain America did some reshoots again for what looks to be the post credits scene or maybe Nick Fury (Samuel Jackson) went back in time...highly unlikely. The shooting was in Time Square NY. Although I have to say, Chris Evans looks a little smaller than what he looked like after being shocked or whatever. If it is not a post credit for Captain America then it is possibly an opening scene for The Avengers. Evans was recently interviewed by MTV and stated that "there is a new costume [for the Avengers]" Marvel also released another photo of Chris Evans as Cap which somewhat shows the strength of Captain America.
More hype has been going up for Marvel's big movie coming out this summer as they continue to talk sequels. Even though Kenneth Branagh hasn't heard anything about it Marvel is quite ecstatic to move foward with a sequel for the God of Thunder. Thor is set to hit theater on May 6th. There was another trailer released for the other Marvel hero movie X-Men: First Class, check it out below. Might i say it is totally...AMAZING!
Not a whole lot has been going on in the DC Universe except that The Dark Knight Rises has headed to India to do some shooting. Man of Steel got another cast member. Faora will be played by Antje Traue who will fight alongside General Zod (played by Micheal Shannon).
Some unfortunate news also this week, Arnold Schwarzenegger will be coming back to the screen as the Terminator. Not so much news on that yet, but I'm sure it will come up in the coming months. Sam Worthington apparently has been working on a sequel to The Clash of the Titans. This film is going to be called Wrath of the Titans. It's release date has been set for March 30th, 2012. Transformers Dark of the Moon is to release a trailer tonight. I will try to comeback and post it as soon as it is released. I'd like to close out on a comedic note, The Hangover Part II has released some movie posters of the main characters. As you can see I've posted on top.

Lots in just a short period

So its only been days since my last post and there's been a lot of news stirring up the media...so lets proceed on!

Marvel Studios has writers working on a sequel for Captain America. Apparently they are expecting more hype than what Thor has been getting these past few weeks after Thor's release. The writer are working to have Cap still during the WWII era but I'm not sure how that will work seeing as how it's been released that they will reveal Cap stuck in some kind of frozen capsule at the end of the first Avenger. The Avengers got some more news from Mark Ruffalo's role as Bruce Banner/Hulk. As said before the Hulk will be revamped and pretty different now. He wont exactly look the same as usual. He will look almost exactly like Ruffalo (just bigger). He said in an interview, "No one has asked me to shave my chest yet, thank God. They want this Hulk to be as close to me as possible. I'll be playing him in motion-capture, so this Hulk will just be a bigger avatar version of me. As they're modeling him, they're using many of my own features, down to my scars and wrinkles. He will have body hair, but I don't know to what extent." There has been a teaser trailer released for the Avengers (saw it a long time ago and thought it was fan made but its actually official) nothing to great but whatever.

James Bond is back in his tux and ready for action. It has been announced that we will see 007 in theaters November 2012. Daniel Craig will be making his 3 appearance as Bond for its 23 movie. There has been a trailer released for The Rise of the Planet of the Apes. In theaters August 5th.

Yeah, it's been awhile

Not so much has happened since my last post, but very important. So sorry this will be a shorter post.
There has been 2 new Thor clips released (see here at Marvel) which are very revealing of Thor's might. Al so in one of the clips you get a quick first look at Hawkeye. Thor's release is May 6th so mark your calenders! Captain America went back to Hollywood for some re-shoots that were unknown. I am thinking that it was probably for some after credits extras. But no worries it's release date has been set in stone so we can still expect its July 22nd release. Each of the Avengers posed for USA Weekly magazine. All the cast members are pretty much on lock-down for the upcoming Avengers movie. There hasn't been any news except that Tom Hiddleston will not be making an appearance (or will he?). The Avengers is set to release May 4th, 2012. Iron Man's new director, Shane Black, has another writer to write its third installment; Drew Pearce. It will be interesting to see what Black has in mind when he says he wants to bring Iron Man into a "Tom Clancy Direction" Needless to say it's set for a May 3rd, 2013 release. Want to be a SHIELD agent? Go to www.joinshield.com now!

The Dark Knight Rises got some additional cast members since my last post. Josh Pence (Social Network) will be playing a young Ra's a Ghul (Batman Begins) and Daniel Sunjata will be playing an role which is unknown at this time. Katie Holmes is listed on the cast on IMDb as Elaine Dawes (somehow related to Rachel Dawes I presume). Well the rumors are true about Batman being rebooted after this Nolan's final installment. Apparently DC wants to create another Batman that will fit with the new Superman: Man of Steel and Green Lantern for a Justice League movie. Though Nolan has been reported to be staying on as a producer of the next Batman. Nolan's final Batman is set to releas July 20th, 2012. Green Lantern had some new pictures released this week along with a extended trailer. With it's last minute cast addition, Geoffrey Rush, concludes the production of the film and is set for its June 17th premier.  The Man of Steel has it's villain; General Zod has been included in the cast to be played by Micheal Shannon; he joins Henry Cavill (Clark Kent/Superman), Diane Lane (Martha Kent), Kevin Costner (Jonathan Kent), and Amy Adams (Lois Lane). The release date is to be sometime in December 2012.
