What's going on in the DC Universe????

Let's start off with Superman: Man of Steel, which is to be directed by Zach Snyder (300 and Watchmen). This is to be a reboot to Superman Returns (which is somewhat ridiculous but whatever). The supposed villain is to be General Zod (as seen in TV series Smallville Season 9). The cast includes Kevin Costner as Jonathan Kent, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Viggo Mortensen (Lord of the Rings) as Zod, and Henry Cavill as non other than Superman. The infamous Christopher Nolan will a producer in this reboot. It's interesting cause C. Nolan's brother, Jonathan, was one of the frontrunners to direct this movie in early November last year. I find it very odd that suddenly "big named actors and actresses" are beginning to play parts in comic book movies again, i.e. Tommy Lee Jones in Captain America: The First Avenger, and Anthony Hopkins in Thor.

Moving on, just over a week ago The Dark Knight Rises plot was leaked which most likely infuriated Christopher Nolan as he was keeping it such a secret to the public. The plot goes somewhat like; Batman and Catwoman (Hathaway) are to team up to face the League of Shadows (Batman Begins) and Bane (Hardy).  It is interesting since Nolan has requited a lot of his Inception cast to be playing in his final Batman movie. The additional cast includes Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle aka Catwoman, Tom Hardy (Inception) as Bane, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Marion Cotillard  (both Inception) are to have unknown roles. There has be rumors saying that Gordon-Levitt could be the new joker, but those i believe are not true since in an interview after Inception's release Nolan stated that he will NOT be bringing The Joker back after the tragic Death of Heath Ledger. It is upsetting to know that this will be the final Batman film by Nolan (which I believe to be true), but hopefully that means that the rumors are true on his sequel or prequel to Inception. The film is to be released July 2012.
